
Prior to joining the University, Sadie was a Solicitor at a Magic Circle law firm in London. In this role, she worked on high profile Litigation and Regulatory disputes and was seconded to the firm's Amsterdam office and later to the legal team of a Premier League football club. Sadie also worked as a Solicitor in the Commercial Dispute Resolution team of a global law firm based in Manchester.

Prior to joining Lancaster University, Kathryn worked for a firm of solicitors based in Lancaster city centre. Here, the majority of the work she undertook was legal aid work, assisting parents who have children with special educational needs and/or disabilities to challenge decisions made by Local Authorities in respect of their child’s education and the level of support they received in school. Kathryn regularly advised parents on matters relating to school admissions, school exclusions, home to school transport, judicial review, disability discrimination in schools, and community care issues.

Prior to joining Lancaster University, Eleanor worked for a firm of solicitors based in Lancaster. During her time there, she dealt with all aspects of Private Client work. Eleanor has a particular interest in complex large estates, usually involving farming businesses as well as estates with foreign assets. Eleanor worked closely with vulnerable clients to help with estate planning, will writing, preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney and assisting with deputyship reporting. Eleanor also helped her clients engage in effective Inheritance Tax Planning and advised on making lifetime gifts.
