George is the Law Clinic office manager. George is the first point of contact for clients, and assists with appointment bookings, case management, and client care.
Legal Supervisors
Sadie is a Solicitor and Lecturer at Lancaster University Law School specialising in Civil Litigation and Clinical Legal Education.
Sadie is co-convenor of all of the Law Clinic modules in the Law School, and provides supervision in the Law Clinic. Sadie supervises Civil Litigation and Consumer law cases.
Prior to joining the University, Sadie trained and worked as a Solicitor at a magic circle law firm in London. In this role, she worked on high profile litigation and regulatory disputes, worked in the firm's Amsterdam office and was seconded to the legal team of a premier league football club. Sadie also worked as a Solicitor in the Commercial Dispute Resolution team of a global law firm based in Manchester. In this role, Sadie's work included High Court cases, arbitrations and injunction applications.
Kathryn is a Solicitor and Lecturer at Lancaster University Law School, specialising in Education Law and Clinical Legal Education.
Kathryn is co-convenor of all of the Law Clinic modules in the Law School, along with offering supervision as part of the Law Clinic.
Prior to joining Lancaster University, Kathryn worked for a firm of solicitors based in Lancaster city centre. Here, the majority of the work she undertook was legal aid work, assisting parents who have children with special educational needs and/or disabilities to challenge decisions made by Local Authorities in respect of their child's education and the level of support they received in school. Kathryn regularly advised parents on matters relating to school admissions, school exclusions, home to school transport, judicial review, disability discrimination in schools, and community care issues.
Kerry Davies is a solicitor and Head of the Family Law Department at Clarkson Hirst Ltd. Kerry completed her law degree at Lancaster University before attending the (then) College of Law Chester and she qualified as a solicitor on 1st July 2004. Kerry is a specialist family law practitioner having an accreditation with the Law Society on the Family Law Advanced Panel, specialising in domestic violence and finances on divorce. Kerry also undertakes work in relation to probate, estate administration, power of attorney, and court of protection matters.
Daniel Meyer-Lopez is the Managing Director of MLA Law in Liverpool. He qualified as a solicitor in 2004 having trained at a high street firm in Liverpool. He then went on to work for several firms in the North West of England, before starting his own practice in 2016. He deals with a variety of areas of law, including family and employment.
Outside of work, he is married with two children. They like to be outdoors (when the English weather permits) and are keen campers.
Martin has spent many years working in Manchester and Liverpool for Cobbetts and DWF. Before co-founding SDM Legal, Martin headed up the Commercial Litigation team at a local Lancaster firm. Martin has significant experience in professional negligence claims against solicitors, accountants and insurers, as well as contractual disputes, shareholder disputes and contentious probate. Martin is recommended within the Legal 500.
The founder of Legal And Mutual, Peter Williams, has been a solicitor for over 30 years, having worked both in private practise and also in the voluntary sector as a solicitor for the Citizens Advice Bureau.
Peter specialises in the areas of divorce and separation, particularly with the financial division of assets following marital breakdown. He also acts for clients in the preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney and the preparation of Wills.
